Saying farewell to Atlanta today, our home for the past almost 3 years!
I have so many mixed feelings about leaving Atlanta! As you may or may not know, I have been long distance with my husband for the past 6 months. Our move to Florida was for a new job opportunity for him. I decided to stay in Atlanta for as long as I could because I got a new job at the end of 2017. I wanted to give that role some time so that I could learn it enough to put on the resume. The lease for my apartment is ending this month so I decided it would be a perfect time to pick up and move to Tampa to be with my husband again. I finished my last week of work this week and said my goodbyes at work and farewell to Atlanta.
Atlanta is the longest place I have lived post college – almost 3 years – so it definitely is super special to me and almost felt like home! Atlanta is where we got engaged and then married. Where I started this blog (which by the way is still the best thing I have ever done for myself!)….Where we found our little kitty Scarlett. There are so many special memories that I am sad to leave.
I got everything packed and moved out of the apartment yesterday. The movers did not finish until almost 7pm. I was going to wait and drive to Tampa today, but I decided to go last night. Not my best or safest idea to drive that far after the exhaustion of moving! But here I am now in our new apartment, reunited with my girlfriend Scarlett (she’s been in Tampa for 2 weeks with her daddy!) and I am SO happy!!
Cheers to new beginnings!
