On to the next part of our Europe trip, Marseille France! Our Marseille France trip was SO fun and way better than I expected!
If you missed the other posts, we started in Lake Como (see post here) and then explored Milan, and then on to the mountains and lakes in Switzerland (see post here). I will of course cover what I wore there too!
Sizing reference: I am 5’4″ and typically XS in tops and 25 in bottoms.
We had a rental car in Switzerland so we could see all the mountains and lakes at our leisure. Once done with the car, we dropped it off in Geneva and took the train from Geneva to Marseille. This is a high speed train, so you want to buy tickets ahead of time. Don’t mind first or second class, they are basically the same.
The ride was so gorgeous because we kept passing so many flower fields! I have never seen so much lavender and sunflowers in my life!
Upon arriving in Marseille, we took an Uber to our Airbnb. We rented Airbnb the entire trip. The nice thing about Marseille is having access to Uber! Sometimes you are just too tired to deal with the the local metro.
We stayed right near the water and it was perfect! It seemed that is where all the action was taking place. The harbor area is adorable with all of the old buildings and boats. Super gorgeous!
Marseille was definitely warmer than Switzerland, so sleeveless dresses were the way to go! I wore the cutest mint colored Chicwish out one evening and it felt perfect for the surrounding scenery.

This was my favorite meal in Marseille! It was a sushi “burger” and oh man was it delicious!!! We used the Trip Advisor app to find all of our food spots and it did not steer us wrong! Trip Advisor is heavily used over there and you can filter languages (easy way to figure out where the locals eat)! If you are ever in Marseille stop at Aux Antipodes!! The service was unreal.
Our whole trip, we had the most pleasant experience with the French. They were the kindest people we encountered, so I will rebuttal the stereotype that the French aren’t nice!
Day trips to the surrounding cities, especially Aix en Provence. There are so many little quintessential little French countryside towns surrounding Marseille. I wish I had a video to share of all these towns we passed, they were almost medieval looking. My heart just hurts thinking about how much I miss this area, it’s truly a special place.
Wine tours! If you are a vino lover like myself, you’ll want to do winery tours. We did a private tour with a driver for a whole day and it was phenomenal. This is a great way to see the surrounding area and stop in all those cutesy towns.
I wore the CUTEST chambray dress from Chicwish on the winery tour. It was absolutely perfect for the occasion. Chicwish just nails it every time, don’t they?
Best year ever!
Heaven on earth = lobster ravioli and creme brûlée
Ugh these lavenders are too pretty!! Take me back!!
