What to Wear to Disney in the Summer

We have been to Disney now 3 times and the most recent visits were very HOT in the middle of August! I wanted to share what to wear to Disney in the summer, because it’s something even I struggle with since it can be so dang hot/humid here. When you’re thinking about what to wear to Disney in the summer, make sure it’s items you don’t mind getting pretty sweaty. I wore things that can be washed (no time for fussy dry clean only fabric) AND that don’t show sweat through the material. My husband picked a shirt that you could see sweat and half way through the day it looked really gross. I only mention that because we hadn’t thought of it before!

Note, that if you go to Disney now you must wear a mask unless stationary eating/drinking. When you add a mask on top of the sun and humidity, it can be quite a bit. With Covid, you also need to make a reservation for the park, so plan ahead. The pros of going now are that it’s way less crowded (see how there’s no one else in my photos?). The cons are that a lot of things are closed, like sit down restaurants in the park. Make sure you bring extra disposable masks for your trip as well – mine got gross after a couple hours in the heat. If you have any question on what to wear to Disney in the summer heat, feel free to add it to the comments!

If you’re curious what I wore to Universal Studios in the winter, check out my post here.

Sizing reference: I am 5’4″ and typically XS in tops and 25 in bottoms.

Tie Dye T-shirt Dress

This t-shirt dress was perfect for a hot day at Disney’s Magical Kingdom and it’s under $15! I sized up to a small because this brand tends to run small, but this dress seems true to size.

Outfit Details:

Dress (c/o), Sneakers, Necklaces (c/o), David Yurman Bracelets, Pearl Bracelets (c/o), Keychain, Mouse Ears, Watch Band (c/o), Sunglasses, Louis Vuitton Bag

Puff Sleeve Eyelet Dress

I wore this dress to lunch at Boathouse at Disney Springs before heading home. Boathouse has the BEST truffle fries ever and I love their lobster rolls. My husband always get the club sandwich and loves it.

Outfit Details:

Dress (c/o), Sandals (c/o), Necklace (c/o), Keychain, Watch Band (c/o), Sunglasses, Louis Vuitton Bag

Tie Dye T-Shirt Dress

I wore this dress out to grab Starbucks at Disney Springs in the morning. It’s under $15 and super cute! I sized up to a small because this brand tends to run small, but this dress seems true to size.

Outfit Details:

Dress (c/o), Keychain, Watch Band (c/o), Sunglasses, Louis Vuitton Bag

White Midi Dress

I wore this dress for happy hour drinks at Boathouse at Disney Springs. I got a Moscow Mule and it was so good after hot day at the park! My dress is my normal XS.

Outfit Details:

Dress (c/o), Sandals (c/o), Necklaces (c/o), David Yurman Bracelets, Pearl Bracelets (c/o), Keychain, Watch Band (c/o), Sunglasses, Louis Vuitton Bag

Tie Dye Peplum Top

This under $15 top is SO cute! It’s actually more like a dress on me lol. I sized up to a small because this brand tends to run small, but this dress seems true to size. I wore it to grab coffee at Starbucks at Disney Springs in the morning and to Brunch at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’. We had the best fried chicken there and I had a killer Bloody Mary.

Outfit Details:

Top (c/o), Necklaces (c/o), David Yurman Bracelets, Keychain, Watch Band (c/o), Sunglasses, Louis Vuitton Bag

Oversized Tie Dye Tee

I wore this tee to Hollywood Studios and it is the perfect sporty fabric for a hot day. It ended up being more of a tunic on me, so I paired with bike shorts. I sized up to a small because this brand tends to run small, but this dress seems true to size.

Outfit Details:

Tee (c/o), Necklaces (c/o), David Yurman Bracelets, Mouse Ears, Keychain, Watch Band (c/o), Sunglasses, Louis Vuitton Bag

Rainbow Dress

This dress is a dream! I wore it to dinner to Paddlefish (great view but not worth the price) and got so many compliments! It runs true to size and I am wearing XS. The lobster corndogs at Paddlefish were pretty good and unique, but it’s the first spot at Disney Springs we’ve been to that we said it’s just not fantastic enough for the price. The restaurant is right behind me, and we ate on that second floor and had a great view.

Outfit Details:

Dress (c/o), Sandals, Necklaces (c/o), David Yurman Bracelets, Pearl Bracelets (c/o), Keychain, Watch Band (c/o), Sunglasses, Louis Vuitton Bag
