Wantable

Have you ever been in a total shopping rut where everything feels so … blah? Today’s post is all about how Wantable helped me out of my rut.

That is how I have been feeling. I have to admit, I get WAY more excited about fall clothing than Spring/Summer stuff. So I find myself in a rut every year after the initial Spring excitement wears off. Slash, why am I complaining? I should be happy for my wallet (see my no shopping month here!). Anyways, I have discovered really simple ways to get excited again about shopping that I am going to share!

#1 Do what you need to do to feel good about your body.

You know that extra spunk you feel in the dressing room when you feel killa about the bod? Maybe you are down some lbs or extra toned up, but you all know what I am talking about. You bring a bunch of things into the dressing room and THEY ALL LOOK GREAT. “I wasn’t even considering buying this, but wow it looks so flattering.” -every single thing you try on

This is a sure way to go broke. Literally me every single time I hit a low weight. “I deserve this outfit, just cuz it fits!” -Jenna at her low weight

#2 Have someone else pick out your clothes.

Do you feel a rush of adrenaline and excitement at this thought like I do? It feels so scary, yet so exciting, yet why am I even anxious because it’s just clothes and should be FUN not SCARY!

I will admit, I had thoughts like “Who can pick out clothes as well as I can?” …. “I’ve been doing this for years, why would someone else be better at knowing MY style than me??” … “What if I hate everything?”

Okay, maybe I take shopping too seriously, but these thoughts did cross my mind on many occasions. The truth is, you only know you. You will only pick out clothes based on your preferences. You stare at other women wondering how they look so cute and it’s because it’s simply their style. Everyone’s style is unique and different. Even us basic people have a unique style (I am including myself in the basic B category). So when you look at someone else and envy their style, I bet just as many women are doing the same to you!

A great way to get out of your own head is to try a clothing subscription! I tried Wantable’s clothing box and LOVE it!

Things I love about Wantable:

#1 Each clothing edit gets better. I gave feedback to my Stylist on my first edit and when my next one came, I was blown away by how perfect everything fit and how uniquely it was. I kept every single thing from my second edit.

#2 You get to pick your price points! You go through a style quiz and pick what you like style wise and price wise. Like to spend more on denim and less on tee-shirts like I do? You can totally specify that! I even got to specify that I love high-rise pants and dislike low-rise. You can even specify down to the color!

#3 You get a 20% discount when you keep 5 or more items from your edit! What a steal! You really cannot beat that sort of deal!

Sizing reference: I am 5’4″ and typically XS in tops and 25 in bottoms.

Outfit #1

How cute and fun is this stripe top!? The statement sleeves and the embroidery on it are so cute. I wore this out and about with my Hudson jeans that I LOVE! I am so excited Wantable picked out these amazing pieces for me!

Outfit #2

I wore this outfit the other weekend in St. Pete! I love that St. Pete is so close to Tampa! We went to this amazing place called Trophy Fish for food and drinks. I got a pina colada in a pineapple and the freshest fish tacos and grouper bites!! Oh my gosh SO GOOD!!!!!!!

Stay tuned as I share more looks from Wantable this summer!

Outfit #3

Here are another outfit from Wantable! You guys know I am a jeans gal, I love my denim! One of my fun facts is that I worked at a high end denim retailer in high school called Indigo Nation (RIP!) and accumulated 30 pairs of designer denim somehow.

I had never once bought Hudson before – but when Wantable sent me this pair I was super impressed with the fit. Another great example of why having someone else pick out your clothes is such a great thing!!! I would have never reached for Hudson because I had the old stigma in my head of their jeans with the really low unflattering pockets on the back. These are now my favorite pair of denim! The stretch and the fit are so good! I paired with this Prince Peter top (also from Wantable). I had never heard of Prince Peter, but I am hooked now. It is super soft and I love the little pocket!

Outfit #4

Here is my case and point below. My whole outfit is from Wantable and it’s nothing I would have reached for myself at the store, yet I love it so much and it makes me way more excited than anything I have picked out for myself! I love these army green pants on other women and just never went for it because I am a creature of habit and only buy jeans. Once I received these, I immediately put them on and started trying on a million different outfits with them. They totally flamed my excitement for putting together outfits. I paired them with a Splendid top from Wantable that has the cutest little flare frayed sleeve. This is what my summer outfit dreams are made of!

These are some photos I took of my last edit to show what all is included! You can get a mix of clothing and accessories! They ship you a return label and everything for the items you do not want. Once you decide what to keep, you “check out” online and are billed.
