I am fully embracing summer in Florida, the heat is nowhere near as bad as everyone promised it would be! It feels just like Atlanta to be honest, but with more humidity. And call me crazy, but I love humidity. My lips and eyes always get so dry and irritated in dry weather, and I never have those issues in humid weather. Plus it makes my fine, thin hair looks much more voluminous (things you probably don’t need to know or care about lol!).
Sizing reference: I am 5’4″ and typically XS in tops and 25 in bottoms.
Susan Shaw is a family owned business that’s been designing and hand making jewelry in San Antonio, Texas, for over 35 years (founded by Susan Shaw herself). Susan Shaw was originally a wholesale jewelry company, and they have recently expanded to sell directly to customers via their website. Their jewelry currently is sold in over 2,000 boutiques in 14 different counties, and in every single state!
Susan Shaw makes all of her original metal pieces from handmade molds and then casts them as well. All of the gold used is hand-cast 24kt gold plated, based in the United States. All of their base metals are lead-free and nickel-free and they use real cultured pearls, and all real semi-precious stones.
Every piece of jewelry handmade to order and shipped in 1-2 business days. I was pleasantly surprised with how fast my jewelry arrived after I ordered it!
I had such a hard time deciding what jewelry I wanted because there are so many amazing styles. Once I saw this gorgeous turquoise stone jewelry, I knew it would be perfect in the midst of summer. It reminds me so much of the gorgeous blue ocean here in Florida and has the perfect nautical and classic vibe, that I knew I had to shoot these gorgeous pieces near the water!
Upon receiving my jewelry, my first thought was that photos do not do these pieces justice! They are just SO beautiful in person and they feel luxurious. They have that wow factor, but do not take over the outfit. Its the perfect ying and yang to any simple outfit.
