Happy Sunday!!! How was your weekend?! I’ve teamed up with Rainstorm Wines – an amazing Oregon wine company – today and I can’t think of a better pairing than wine + warm weather + rooftop.
It was a truly amazing day to sit on the roof sipping wine and watching all of Atlanta come out of hibernation from the cold weather. EVERYONE was out and about and it was amazing to feel the spring buzz in the air! I live right on the Atlanta Beltline, which is an awesome trail downtown for walking, biking etc. I love sitting on the roof and people watching all of those passing through on the Beltline.
If you missed my last blog post, check it out here.
Sizing reference: I am 5’4″ and typically XS in tops and 25 in bottoms.
I was able to try Rainstorm Wine’s Pinot Noir and Pinot Rosé and I couldn’t decide which one I liked more! Rainstorm Wines also has a Pinot Gris that I am dying to try!
Rainstorm Wines are 100% Oregon wine. You can find a ton more information on their website and blog if you want to check it out!
Some facts about their wine:
Rainstorm Wines Pinot Noir is a 50/50 blend of two different wine regions in Oregon – Willamette and Umpqua Valleys. Willamette Valley’s cool, mild climate produces Pinot Noirs with an earthy, elegant flavor. Umpqua Valley is a hotter and drier climate that produces Pinot Noirs with ripe, rich fruit flavor. I loved this Pinot Noir because it was not as heavy as the cabs I typically drink. I usually switch to white when the weather warms up for this reason, but I could definitely stick with a light red like this in the warmer months.
Their Pinot Gris comes from the Willamette Valley and has aromas of crisp pear and honey blossom and flavors of mango with fresh acidity. They do not use oak or malolactic fermentation, which results in dry and refreshing wine.
The Pinot Noir Rosé portrays aromas of strawberry, rose petals and pomegranate seeds. It is completely dry with refreshing acidity. This is a wine I will definitely be enjoying all summer. Who can resist a fabulous Rosé?!
Ironically, we finished both bottles of wine just as a storm was rolling in causing us to flee inside.
My Blush Mules
Funny story about these mules. January was a no shop month for me after spending a ton in 2017. The whole not shopping lasted about a week. I went to Nordstrom Rack to return something and I found these blush velvet mules marked as “worn and refurbished” in my size for a huge discount. I walked around the store with them for several minutes trying to convince myself to stay true to my no shopping goal. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately lol), I didn’t have the will power to put these babies back though. How do you leave behind the most perfect mules combination ever?! Anyways, I am happy I got these because they are so cute and comfortable! I have found them on sale online and linked below!
