The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2022 marks the start of all things fall and is my absolute favorite sale of the year because I adore fall fashion!!! The Anniversary Sale happens once a year and it’s the best Nordstrom sale of the year! All of the early fall arrivals (and plenty of summer items) are marked down at this time. Nothing gets me more excited for my favorite season and fall fashion more than this sale! I started shopping the Anniversary Sale back in high school, so it’s turned into sort of a tradition that I look forward to each year. There is something magical about the second half of the calendar year and this sale marks the beginning of it all!

If you are a Nordstrom cardholder, you can shop as early as July 6th depending on your status. For everyone else that is not a cardholder, you can shop the 28th. Check your cardholder status here or sign up for one here!

Everything is SO cute, that you have to be careful not to go overboard! I think of the cost per wear of all my purchases before I buy. For example, if I wear a $100 pair of boots 20 times, that is $5 per wear. But, a $25 blouse I wear once is $25 per wear. In my experience, things like shoes, accessories and bags get that most wear in my closet. I work from home, so I don’t need a ton of clothing.
Before the sale I like to do an inventory assessment in my closet and get rid of things that aren’t my style anymore or that look worn. I also did a color assessment and found the colors that look best on me, so I am purging the other colors. That has helped a lot with deciding what stays and what goes, and helps for a more coordinated closet.
You’ll see inventory is limited and runs out quick, especially on the popular items. My number 1 tip, is if you LOVE and NEED something, buy it in whatever size is left. Then after the sale exchange it for the right size because Nordstrom will honor the sale price! I did that in previous years with the hard-to-get Barefoot Dreams cardigans. Another trick to snag something out of stock, keep the page open in your internet browser and refresh it constantly throughout the day. Eventually you’ll see a size or two pop back in stock and then quickly buy before someone else does.
Save your double points day for when you plan to shop the sale (if you are a cardholder).
Buy multiple sizes if you are unsure. The worst is when something sells out after you purchase only to realize when it arrives in the mail it’s not the right size.
I love using this sale as an opportunity to stock up on gifts. I always grab stocking stuffers and birthday gifts during this time.

Sizing reference: I am 5’4″ and typically XS in tops and 25 in bottoms. I currently weigh 115 pounds.
Everyone is still loving the western trend and I am so happy it’s sticking around this fall! These flares are amazing if you are short because the inseam is shorter! I have never found flares that work so well with my height! If you are between sizes, you could probably size down in these jeans because they are so stretchy. This tee is so comfy and this faux leather moto jacket is the perfect color for fall. I took my normal size in everything here! I will say the XS jacket doesn’t leave a ton of room for sweaters, so I would size up to accommodate a thicker sweater.

These two outfits feature these faux leather pants that are on sale! I am obsessed with the color of these pants and they fit amazing! The reviews aren’t that great online for some reason, but I promise they are awesome. I am wearing my normal 25 in them. In the Cinq a Sept Khloe blazer, I am wearing a 2. I think I could have done a 0 also, but the 2 fits great!
