New Years Eve Dress

Happy Thursday! This week is just flying! This post is all about my affordable lace New Years Eve Dress.

What are you plans for New Years Eve? I would love to just sit on the couch all night – I’m dead serious – but we are probably going out. If you’re like me and not a huge NYE person, I totally get it. Most of the time things goes wrong, the night is expensive and there are too many expectations for the evening. And it’s freezing. Dresses and cold weather instantly take the buzz away. So then you drink too much, and that’s when the “things go wrong” part happen. You get the picture.

Sizing reference: I am 5’4″ and typically XS in tops and 25 in bottoms.

So what New Years Eve dress to wear on this eventful night out? I used to love a tight sequin dress, but then I turned late-20’s and I can’t seem to get with that look anymore. My gut can’t get with tight dresses either after the Christmas holiday either.

The search for a loose fitting *forgiving* dress was on. I found this Free People beauty and it was too cute to pass up. And the price is fantastic. It is on mega-sale for $30 here in 3 colors. This dress could easily be worn again at any time of the year in my opinion. You could definitely do a wedge in the summer with it, or an over the knee boot in the fall. A lace dress is also great for a bridal shower, rehearsal dinner etc.

My Go To Heels

Comfortable heels are key too when going out all night. These are my go to heels for weddings or nights where I am on my feet. They aren’t super high and the strap doesn’t dig into my ankle.
