Today I am doing a Lululemon Wunder Train shorts review! I wanted to buy these shorts because I wear my Align shorts a lot (see that review here) and wanted to try these.
If you’re looking for more Lululemon short reviews, check out my Hotty Hot review here.
Wunder Train shorts come in a variety of lengths (4″, 6″, 8″), a pocket version, and a contour version (I want to try the contour version next!). The price ranges from $64 to $74, and is something you can get marked down.
First up in my Lululemon Wunder Train shorts review is how to wear them! I wear Wunder Train shorts pretty much the same way I wear leggings. I love them with sweatshirts, tanks, tees and jackets! To balance out the shorts, I do prefer something looser fitting on top, although I think they don’t look bad with something tight fitting. Wunder Train shorts are a great alternative to leggings as the weather gets warmer!
Wunder Train shorts are Everlux fabric, which is meant for heavy workouts just like the Wunder Train leggings (see more on Wunder Train leggings versus Align leggings here). Align shorts are Nulu fabric, which is incredibly soft but can pill over time if you aren’t gentle. I wear my Wunder Train shorts to workout, where as I wear my Align shorts for more casual athleisure outfits.
Below I am wearing the shorts in Magenta Purple with my POC sweatshirt (see review here) to run some errands. I love the longer oversized sweatshirt with the shorts!
Sizing reference: I am 5’4″ (currently 115 lbs) and typically XS in tops and 25 in bottoms. I typically wear a size 4 in Lululemon bottoms and a size 6 in Lululemon bras/tops.
Outfit Details:
I wear a 4 across the board in Lululemon leggings as well as the Align shorts, but I need to size up to a 6 in the Wunder Train shorts! A lot of people in the reviews agree they need to size up in these as well. Since they are a more compressive fabric, there is more of a “sausage effect” on the legs which is why I had to size up. My absolute favorite of them all are 6″ high rise! You can also hem the longer ones if you decide you want to go shorter. At my height, 6″ seems to be the most flattering.
Below I am wearing the shorts with my Scuba hoodie (see full review here).
Outfit Details:
Yes, these shorts are worth it, especially if you live in a warmer climate because they are great for summer workouts. They are super flattering too and great for cute athleisure outfits. There isn’t much from Lululemon that I buy full price, so I suggest waiting for a markdown to get these!
