Lululemon Hotty Hot Shorts Review

Today I am doing a Lululemon Hotty Hot shorts review! These shorts come in so many options, but I found my favorite size and length and will go into detail on that in this post. They are super comfy, so keep reading for all the details!

If you’re looking for more short reviews, check out my Speed Up short review here.

Finding the right pair of these shorts was like Goldilocks because they come in low and high rise and 2.5″ and 4″ lengths. They are $68, and something you can get marked down. With Hotty Hot shorts being super popular, most colors/sizes aren’t available for long. I bought mine full price because they sell out so quick and I wear a popular size.

How To Wear

First up in my Lululemon Hotty Hot shorts review is how to wear them! I love them with sweatshirts, tanks, tees and jackets!

Where To Wear

These shorts are the perfect lightweight material that can withstand a heavy workout or run. I love wearing these casually and to the gym. I frequently wear these to run errands since they are easy to throw on! They have a built in liner, so there’s no need to worry about anything showing during a workout class!

Below I am wearing the 2.5″ high rise in Sonic Pink out to run errands with my Pink Mist Scuba hoodie (see the full review here).

Sizing reference: I am 5’4″ (currently 115 lbs) and typically XS in tops and 25 in bottoms. I typically wear a size 4 in Lululemon bottoms and a size 6 in Lululemon bras/tops.

Hotty Hot Shorts Sizing

Okay here is where it got tricky for me! For the low rise 4″ shorts, the size 6 was too baggy, but the size 6 was a little too tight in the low rise 2.5″. For the low rise and high rise 2.5″, I found the 6 fit best, which is 1 size bigger than my legging size 4. Out of all of the shorts, the high rise 2.5″ is my favorite. For my height, 2.5″ looks the best and I prefer high rise.

Below are the low rise 4″ in a size 6 in Gravel Dust Pastel Blue Multi/Pastel Blue.

In the photo below, are the low rise 2.5″ in a size 4.

Below are the high rise 2.5″ in a size 4 on the left and 6 on the right. The color is Raspberry Cream.

Are Lululemon Hotty Hot Shorts Worth It?

These are my second favorite shorts I’ve tried from Lululemon (a very close second!), so I say they are worth it (my absolute favorites are Speed Ups)! They sell out quick in the popular colors and sizes (and especially the high rise fit) so I would recommend to not wait for them to get marked down like you can with a lot of other Lululemon items. For me, the high rise version 2.5″ is the only one I am interested in. They are also so easy to throw on and run out the door, which makes them worth it! Although Speed Ups are my favorite, Hotty Hots seem to be made in more colors so I own more of them!

Below I am wearing my 2.5″ high rise in Raspberry Cream with my Pink Lychee Scuba hoodie out to lunch and brewery hopping in Dunedin.
