Lululemon Align Shorts Review

Today I am doing a Lululemon Align shorts review! These shorts took a while for me to get, because there hasn’t been many colors released this year and no restock on sizing. Now that it’s spring, hopefully more will be released and all my details below help you decide which ones to get!

Align shorts come in a variety of lengths (4″, 6″, 8″, 10″), a pocket version, and a super high rise version. The price ranges from $58 to $74, and is something you can get marked down. With Align shorts being super popular, most colors/sizes aren’t even available for long. I bought all of my pairs full price because they sell out so quick and I wear a popular size.

How To Wear

First up in my Lululemon Align shorts review is how to wear them! I wear Align shorts pretty much the same way I wear leggings. I love them with sweatshirts, tanks, tees and jackets! To balance out the shorts, I do prefer something looser fitting on top, although I think they don’t look bad with something tight fitting. Align shorts are a great alternative to comfy leggings as the weather gets warmer!

With this transitional weather, I have been loving them with Scuba sweatshirts. Below I am wearing my Pink Mist Scuba hoodie with my Vivid Plum super high rise Align shorts to grab tacos.

Sizing reference: I am 5’4″ (currently 115 lbs) and typically XS in tops and 25 in bottoms. I typically wear a size 4 in Lululemon bottoms and a size 6 in Lululemon bras/tops.

Where To Wear

Align shorts are Nulu fabric, which is incredibly soft but can pill over time if you aren’t gentle. I wore one pair to HIIT and they pilled immediately. Because of this, I would recommend Align shorts for lighter workouts (i.e. elliptical, stair stepper, weight lifting) or casual athleisure wear. I wear mine to work from home, run errands, grab lunch, etc.

Below, I am wearing 6″ Cassis Align shorts with my Pink Lychee Scuba hoodie to grab some tacos for lunch at Bartaco.

Align Short Sizing

I wear a 4 across the board in Lululemon leggings, and I found these to be true to size. I think the 4 fits great! If you are worried about the “sausage leg” effect of bike shorts, you could size up. My absolute favorite of them all are 6″ super high rise! You can also hem the longer ones if you decide you want to go shorter. At my height, 6″ seems to be the most flattering.

Are Lululemon Align Shorts Worth It?

Yes, these shorts are worth it! Even though they are delicate Nulu, I still love mine because I have been wearing them so much. There isn’t much from Lululemon that I buy full price, but this item is one of them! They sell incredibly fast, so I know my size won’t be around long enough to be marked down. Also, living in Florida, these are great to have for casual comfy wear when it’s warmer.
