Green Slip Dress

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!!! I wore the most perfect green slip dress for Christmas and it’s linked below!

It’s always weird coming out of Christmas and the next day you feel forced to return to “normal” life. This includes taking the XM Holly channel off your favorites rotation. Boo. I suddenly don’t have excuses to be lazy AF and overindulge with food and alcohol. Is time off work a good excuse? Good enough for me. I keep saying I’ll be good starting in January. We’ll see about that!

Sizing reference: I am 5’4″ and typically XS in tops and 25 in bottoms.

My green slip dress was a TJ Maxx find. Unfortunately, there is only 1 size left online! This dress is such a nice color and I could definitely see this as a year-round dress. Sometimes I am torn on slip dresses because some look too much like lingerie. I wanted to find one that was silk but thick enough to not look like a pajama set. I love layering the slip dress with a blazer, or a leather jacket for a more edgy look. Next time I wear this dress I will do so with a leather jacket.

Although we are in Christmas detox mode, I present you with pretty Christmas tree photos. Coincidence I wore a bow in my hair to match the tree? Nope.

This bow is so cute. J Crew keeps selling out but I see they have stock every few days, so if you are still searching, don’t give up hope! I love the black velvet. It adds a touch of festive winter to any outfit.

Black Velvet Blazer

My blazer from Express is sold out, but I have linked several below. I love a velvet blazer and talked about my search for one in this post. I used to own one from Abercrombie in high school and I wore that thing every single year during the holidays. Talk about a classic piece if you can wear it from 2005 until now! I traded in the cropped 3/4 sleeve Abercrombie one for a more “adult” version this year and couldn’t be happier. I know this one will remain in my closet as long as the Abercrombie one.

Reissue Bag

And last, I must introduce the newest member of my bag team – my Reissue! I just LOVE this bag. I’ll be using it more than my WOC when I go out because there is so much room. I put a ton of time and thought into my bag collection and what bag I plan to purchase next. I usually think about purchasing a bag and do months of research before actually buying.

The Reissue is such a classic piece that can take any outfit from blah to chic. It is also less known than the classic flap (although that is still on my want list!) and not easily as recognized. I also consider Chanel a good buy because you can guarantee if you want to sell in the future you will be able to get what you paid if the bag is in good condition. Another plus for Chanel is their bags don’t come in and out of fashion, so there is no worry about it going out of style. I went back and forth on the Chloe Faye for a while, but in the end I couldn’t get past the thought that they might be out of style in 3 years. I want to wear my bags for 10+ years.

Hope you all have a great day of post-Christmas shopping!!!
