I just got back from an Asheville weekend trip and wanted to share some of my favorite spots! I used to live in Asheville and love getting back when I get the chance! My favorite things to do on trips are eat, drink and explore. Asheville checks all of those marks, so if you enjoy the same, you would love Asheville!!
If you missed my last Asheville trip post, check it out here.
Where To Stay
There’s so much to do downtown, that I love to stay in the center of it all. We stayed at the Restoration and it was a great location, clean rooms, and really nice areas to hang out. The rooms come stocked with snacks and beer in the fridge and there is valet parking. My favorite part of the room was the huge mirror so I could see how my outfits looked each day lol. The Observatory rooftop bar has amazing views and even if you don’t stay here, it’s definitely worth checking out the rooftop at sunset.

Sizing reference: I am 5’4″ and typically XS in tops and 25 in bottoms.
I wore this cute Lululemon outfit our first day and it was perfect for travel and breweries. My top is Cerulean Blue and my shorts are Strawberry Milkshake.

Where To Eat
Curate and Chestnut are definitely my favorite Asheville restaurants! I ate at both twice over the weekend because they are that good. At Curate we love the shrimp, Pan Con Tomate, Pimientos de Piquillo Relienos, the little sausages with chips and the cheesecake! At Chestnut, I am absolutely obsessed with the lobster bisque and calamari salad. I have been ordering that combo for over 10 years and just can’t get enough. No Asheville weekend trip is complete without visiting these spots!

White Duck Taco is my favorite and it’s stood the test of time over the years. I pretty much always get the tofu and the shrimp tacos because they are so good. I’ve had pretty much everything on the menu and it’s all great.

Flour is amazing for breakfast, their biscuits are the best!
If you are looking to eat dinner with an amazing view, check out the Grove Park Inn (I posted about eating here in my other Asheville blog post).
We had breakfast at Early Girl, which used to be on my favorites list, but it just wasn’t the same this time. I googled it because I was so sad because I used to be obsessed with Early Girl, and found out the owners sold it. Sadly, all I have now is memories of how amazing the biscuits and gravy used to be. I used to love Tupelo Honey as well like 10 years ago, but I think the quality has gone down a bit so I don’t go back anymore. Another restaurant that was a favorite, is Bouchon but I hear it is closed now sadly.

I wore this outfit out to dinner and it was the perfect look for dinner and drinks! Everything is true to size.

Where To Drink
My favorite Asheville breweries are Sierra Nevada, New Belgium, Highland, Wicked Weed and Greenman and are must do’s for an Asheville weekend trip. Sierra Nevada has the largest and most impressive property I’ve ever seen from a brewery. It’s truly spectacular and a must see. The food there is also SO great and there’s so many spots to sit and enjoy a drink. I love their pizza, wings and pretzel so much. New Belgium is also massive and has a gorgeous view of the river. Highland has really expanded since I lived there and they have an impressively large outdoor area now. I used to live right by Highland and I love to see that it’s grown. Wicked Weed and Greenman are both downtown and easy to walk to and I love their beers so much.

I wore this outfit out brewery hopping and it was so comfy! Everything is my normal size.

If you’re looking for a good spot for drinks, The Times Bar has really unique cocktails and a cute atmosphere. The Observatory at the Restoration hotel is also a great spot for cocktails with a view (see photo below!). If you like wine, Walnut Street Wine bar is another favorite!

I wore this outfit out to dinner then drinks and it was perfect for a chilly evening. Everything is true to size.
