Today I am reviewing the JCrew Sophie sweater blazer, one of my wardrobe staples this fall (and every fall). The reason I love the JCrew Sophie sweater blazer is because it is so dang versatile! I mean you can wear this thing with just about everything. It is a thick knit, so once I hung it up all the wrinkles disappeared. No need to iron and it’s not a delicate piece. It would be a great knit to bring on a trip since you can wear so many ways.
Here are some outfit ideas:
Work pants and a blouse
Shorts and a tee for Spring
Denim and a tee for Fall
Joggers and a zip-up to lounge or run errands in
Ruffle mini skirt and heels for date night
Okay you get the picture, you can dress this up or down with just about everything! From yoga pants to professional workwear, this piece is perfect for creating hundreds of outfits. One of my favorite ways to wear any topper is with a graphic tee. If you keep scrolling, I styled the blazers with my all time favorite graphic tee for a casual and trendy look.
I want to talk about sizing for a minute since half of the reviews say to size down and the other half say to keep your normal size. I kept my normal XS here and you can see there is enough room in the arms to fit a light sweatshirt or sweater. However, if I sized down I think the shoulders would be too tight and not comfortable. I don’t have broad shoulders either, so I would recommend to keep your normal size.
If you are looking for another fall staple, check out my Barefoot Dreams cardigan review here.
Sizing reference: I am 5’4″ and typically XS in tops and 25 in bottoms.
