2023 Recap

Sharing my 2023 recap because I love looking back on these posts! This year went so fast and was our first full year in Dallas! This will be my last blog post of the year, so thank you for being here!

2023 Recap – Styledjen Wins

Styledjen tuned 6 this year! I cannot believe I have been doing this for 6 years, the time really does fly. I am so grate to have found something I am so passionate about!

My only goal around social media this year was to keep posting on TikTok and spend less time on Instagram. In 2024 I will continue that rhythm because it seems to be working great! I was so overworked and overwhelmed in previous years with Styledjen because I was doing too much. I cut back significantly on brand collaborations and that has helped tremendously.

2023 Recap – Personal Highlights

Last year we moved from Florida to Dallas (If you’re new here, I lived in Ohio for most of my life and after college moved to Williamsburg VA, Raleigh NC, Asheville NC, Atlanta GA, Tampa FL then Dallas TX) for my husband’s new job. 2022 was a total blur from that big change and it felt nice to just relax a bit this year and get settled in Dallas. This year wasn’t the best, but definitely not the worst. We did some amazing trip this year and went to Fredericksburg (see post here), Jekyll Island, St Augustine, Savannah and Hilton Head (see post here), Rhode Island (see post here), Maine (see post here), Colorado, Atlanta and Cleveland!

One of my resolutions was to do a dry January and then after that not drink at home for 100 days (only drink when I am out to dinner, on vacation etc) and I successfully did that. I found that was a really nice balance for me personally with cutting back on alcohol but still enjoying it in moderation. Another major goal was to hit a certain point in my savings, I am beyond excited that I made it to that goal!

2024 Resolutions

2024 is going to be a huge year for me and I cannot wait! I am going to continue with the goals I accomplished this year and 2024 will be all about riding the waves of change that are coming. Can’t wait to see how it goes!
